The interpretation of the syndrome has its own validity but further systematic and wide &#8211; scale studies are needed to clarify its characteristics (eg the duration and intensity of the symptoms) and to define appropriate objective diagnostic criteria for more accurate diagnosis and diagnosis valid treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The first international classification, known as the International List of Causes of Death, was approved by the International Statistical Institute in 1893. WHO took over ICD at its inception in 1948 and published the 6th edition, ICD-6, which incorporated morbidity for the first time time. The WHO Nomenclature Regulations, adopted in 1967, state that Member States use the most recent ICD revision for mortality and morbidity statistics. The ICD has been revised and published in a series of publications to reflect the progress of health and medical science over time. The ICD-10 was adopted in May 1990 by the 41st World Health Assembly. It is referenced in more than 20,000 scientific articles and is used by more than 100 countries around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">ICD-10 Version 2016 or otherwise the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision-version 2016, is the current form of Disease Coding and of Related Health Problems. A search for the term <em>Parental Alienation <\/em>in search, it does not give any results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If on the WHO website for ICD 11 (Advanced Preview &#8211; December 2018) a search <u><a href=\"\/\/icd.who.int\/browse11\/l-m\/en\">\/\/icd.who.int\/browse11\/l-m\/en<\/a><\/u> for the term <em>Parental Alienation<\/em> leads us to the website <a href=\"\/\/icd.who.int\/browse11\/l-m\/en#\/\/\/id.who.int\/icd\/entity\/547677013\">\/\/icd.who.int\/browse11\/l-m\/en#\/\/\/id.who.int\/icd\/entity\/547677013<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 (code QE52.0 Caregiver &#8211; child relationship problem).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Parental Alienation Syndrome or Parental Alienation Disorder, or in any other way that could be named this disease entity, is undoubtedly a public health problem. Its delayed official recognition by the scientific community has a negative impact on all those involved in this problem. The scientific community must proceed as soon as possible to the systematic study and to the establishment of objective diagnostic criteria in order to administer the appropriate treatment and at the same time to prevent arguments that this problem does not exist and furthermore to prevent misusing this diagnosis in legal cases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Since 18\/6\/2018, Parental Alienation has been classified in the WHO List of Diseases and Related Health Problems as a dysfunctional relationship in the family and as a care provider \u2013 child problem. Since the recent classification, W H O has continued to work on the definition, the criteria, the diagnosis and the treatment. Undoubtedly Parental Alienation has been included in the list of Diseases and Health Problems. Nobody can deny its existence.
